Actually, 99% may not be that much off. I was reading an article last month on Godaddy and how highly they dominate the domain registry market. Research is supposed to be "underway" as the article said, because Godaddy has so many Re-Sellers and affiliates that are dedicated to them and have domains used for ads, purchase both through Godaddy and other registry companies that they believe that 95-97% is actually Godaddy behind the scenes. Crazy world! I believe the new research is to be release next year. That will be interesting.
