Actually, it sounds like BODhost staff already knew about Joomla's security problems. They did say, in fact, that they've been taking security measures to avoid any threats. In any case, it's up to the client themselves to make sure that any software they install is secure and up to date. If you're being lazy about keeping yourself safe, then don't blame your host. :P
